RABBI RUVI NEW ADDRESSES ELEMENTARY BOYS ON HEY TEVES
To mark the auspicious day of Hey Teves, when the court ruled that seforim stolen from 770 belong to the Chassidim and must be returned, LEC Elementary School boys were honored by a visit from Rabbi Ruvi New. Now the head shliach of Chabad of West Boca Raton and a highly regarded public speaker, Rabbi New related his first-hand account of the events leading up to the ruling. At that time he had spent many days listening to the proceedings in the courtroom and, after the decision was reached in favor of the chassidim, he participated in the victory celebration in 770. Rabbi New repeated the Rebbe’s call: “The party is over; now it’s time to learn the seforim!” Rabbi New stayed to dance with students to the words of the well known victory nigun “Didan Notzach.” LEC is grateful to Rabbi New for bringing Hey Teves to life for our students.
