From the very beginning of second grade, students are exposed to a rigorous dual-curriculum of Jewish and General Studies. The fundamentals of Hebrew reading and writing and Chumash, form the solid foundation on which their Torah learning will strengthen and grow. Over the years, students become proficient in Navi, Shoroshim, Hebrew Grammar, the Weekly Torah Portion, Jewish Law, Chumash Skills, Brochos, Rashi, and general Jewish concepts. Students also gain an understanding of and appreciation for davening. Throughout their years in school, students are exposed to Jewish concepts and values that are learned through activities and stories reinforced by the Chabad philosophy of a joyful Judaism with love for Hashem and one’s fellow Jew.

The General Studies department is committed to a strong academic curriculum. In addition to the core subjects of math, science, social studies, and English language arts, students have an extracurricular program of computers, physical education, art, and library time. A writing program taps into students’ creativity, as they develop their strengths while writing poetry, essays, reports, and doing research.

The academic curriculum is enhanced by special programs, performances, and competitions to strengthen what has been learned in the classroom. A highly successful Bnos Chabad program, under the enthusiastic guidance of post-seminary women, aims to teach fundamental Chabad concepts and foster a connection with the Rebbeim and their teachings. All students are required to enlist in the worldwide Tzivos Hashem program.

In both departments, every student’s academic progress is closely monitored. Students entering Lubavitch Girls Elementary and Middle Schools with a limited background in Hebrew studies will be given several options to ease their integration into the school program.
