WHAT IS PESACH SHEINI?
That was the question that was posed to the Elementary School boys in grades 1 to 6. In preparation for Pesach Sheini, students were asked to write about this special day and how they, in their day-to-day lives, have given someone a second chance.
The response was enthusiastic, with close to 100 entries. The winners were selected by the teachers and administration, with at least one winner from each class. Much thanks to Program Director Rabbi Yaakov Garfinkel for creating and overseeing the challenge, and a hearty yosher ko’ach to all the students who responded to the challenge and to all the winners. See the winners and their essays below.
